The notorious Hive ransomware group, which has extorted more than $100 million from its increasing list of victims, has continued its nefarious activity, the US authorities has warned.
According to a joint advisory issued on Thursday by the FBI, the U.S. Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency, and the Department of Health and Human Services, more than 1,300 victims have paid the Hive ransomware gang upwards of $100 million since the gang was first identified in June 2021.
Organizations from a wide range of businesses and crucial infrastructure sectors, such as governmental buildings, communications infrastructure, and information technology, are included on this list of victims, with a focus on healthcare and public health entities.
