Today, Dropbox revealed that it had purchased FormSwift, a cloud-based platform that enables companies to create, edit, approve, distribute, and print unique, customised documents. The San Francisco-based business will soon become a member of the Dropbox team, as per the terms of the agreement, which was finalized yesterday. Dropbox will pay $95 million in cash.
According to a press statement, FormSwift will support Dropbox's current document storing, signing, and sharing features, including Dropbox Sign, Dropbox Forms, and DocSend, advancing Dropbox's effort to create an all-encompassing "agreement workflow capability."
Chetan Dandekar, VP and GM of Dropbox's document workflows department, stated in a statement, "At Dropbox, we're inventing solutions to help our customers flourish in today's virtual-first world by modernizing manual workflows and digitizing chores."
